Lighting up your pop up can be done in so many ways. Electric to solar to battery operated, the choices are numerous.
The lights most use are awning lights, typically called "tacky lights". Attached around the awning they can be bright to soft light. There are many colors and styles to fit your taste.
We've tried a bunch of different lights over the years. They would get replaced mainly because they fade or die or get broke. We have settled on a string of LED lights, similar to Christmas tree lights in multi-color. They are not real bright, and do not get hot, meaning fewer bugs. We attach them with mitten clips, zip tied to the light string then clipped on to the awning.
Since we added the screen room the lights used above no longer fit. Looked at many different methods and settled on this LED light string. It has adhesive backing and you can cut it to the length needed. They worked good for two trips, then nothing. Changed the battery in the remote, still nothing.
Fixed! The plug in has to go one way only. Last winter when the awning was off getting fixed I plugged in the lights and they lit right up.
